104 Arrests Made in Central Ohio Human Trafficking Sting, Includes Delaware Countians

Ohio Attorney General Dave Yost, Columbus Division of Police Interim Chief Thomas Quinlan and Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force Director Sgt. Mark Rapp announced on Friday the culmination of a human trafficking operation.

A partnership of over 30 law enforcement agencies and social service organizations yielded 104 total arrests, including 53 felony charges, in an operation named “Fourth and Goal.” More…

MORPC and ODOT Release Central Ohio Transportation Safety Plan

The Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) in collaboration with local, state, and private organizations with expertise in transportation safety, developed the Central Ohio Transportation Safety Plan (COTSP).

The COTSP identifies causes of serious injuries and fatalities on Central Ohio local roadway system, establishes a series of goals and benchmarks for safety improvements, recognizes existing trends and critical safety priorities, and creates a framework for how collaboration can improve safety throughout the region. The Scioto River Sweep will take place that day from 9:00 AM to Noon. Volunteers will meet up at 8:30 AM at the Bellpoint Community Church shelter on State Route 257, and proceed to  clean up riverbanks on foot and the river channel in canoes. More…
