Delaware General Health District Joins In Centennial Celebration

This year marks the 100th anniversary of two legislative acts that shaped the future of public health in Ohio. The Hughes Act and Griswold Act, both enacted in 1919, established the modern-day organization of local health departments and laid the foundation for public health efforts still in effect today.

As part of National Public Health Week, April 1-7, the Delaware General Health District is joining local health departments throughout Ohio to collectively celebrate 100 years of public health with a coordinated promotional campaign theme of “How the past has made public health matter.” More…

Powell Opens Registration Soon For Summer Programs

The City of Powell will be signing folks up starting April 10 for its annual Summer Programs series though Powell Parks and Recreation.

Express, in-person registration for City residents only is from 9 AM-7 PM on Wednesday, April 10 in the Municipal Building, located at 47 Hall Street. Online registration for City residents only begins at 8 AM on Thursday, April 11 and in-person/online registration for non-residents starts at 8 AM Friday, April 12. County Officials Approve Major Multi-Use Development In Orange Township

A new multi-use development project is moving forward in Delaware County.

The “Kerbler Project” is sited on nearly 300 acres, adjacent to Mount Carmel Lewis Center (7100 Graphics Way) and the newly formed Creekside Industrial Park, just to the east of U.S. Route 23.
