One Act Play To Share True Story Of Heroin Addict

Ohio Wesleyan University will host one performance October 27 of “How to Be a Respectable Junkie,” written by Greg Vovos and starring Christopher M. Bohan.

The performance will be held at 8 PM in the Studio Theatre inside OWU’s Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware. The play will conclude with a post-show discussion with the actor, playwright, and members of the Ohio Wesleyan and Delaware communities. More…

Poetry Festival At OWU Features Hispanic And Latinx Heritage

OWU Vice President Becomes President Of National College Admission Organization

Stefanie Niles, vice president for enrollment and communications at Ohio Wesleyan University, has assumed the presidency of the National Association for College Admission Counseling (NACAC) Saturday at the association’s 74th National Conference in Salt Lake City.

Concerns about college access, the welfare of undocumented students, rising college costs, and other pressing issues initially spurred Niles to run for board service last year. She is in the second year of a three-year presidential cycle. More…

Delaware Entrepreneurial Center To Debut On October 4

The Delaware Entrepreneurial Center at Ohio Wesleyan University will open officially on October 4 with an afternoon ribbon-cutting, remarks, and public tours. The celebration will continue that evening with the 2018 Robert L. Milligan Leaders in Business Lecture.

The newly renovated 6,000-square-foot entrepreneurial center is a collaboration of Ohio Wesleyan, Delaware County, and the City of Delaware. It is the first-of-its-kind liberal arts business accelerator and the first-of-its-kind city, county, and educational institute partnership. More…

The structures of family, function, and freedom are all contested in Caryl Churchill’s “Cloud 9” presented by Ohio Wesleyan University’s Department of Theatre & Dance. In this fast-paced farce, the audience follows a family from colonial Africa in 1880 to modern-day London in 2018, as the family searches for truth in a world that won’t stop spinning.

Michael Les Benedict, Ph.D., an expert on U.S. Legal and Constitutional History and the Civil War and Reconstruction, will present “The Transformative 14th Amendment: The Constitutional Amendment that Reshaped America” at 7:30 PM on September 20 at Ohio Wesleyan University.

OWU Hosting Hispanic Film Festival

 Ohio Wesleyan University’s 2018 Hispanic Film Festival kicks off Sept. 11 and continues through Nov. 1, showcasing five movies from Spain and Latin America.
