On Tuesdays this fall, you can learn the basics of woodcarving at the Stratford Ecological Center and return home with tangible proof of your new skills.

This series of learning sessions is open both to prior attendees and also to new carvers. You will create your own wood art pieces suitable for display or framing for family and friends.

If you have current projects or even unfinished pieces from prior classes, you can work with experts to get them finished. The group will also start projects from scratch and learn new tricks. Learn safety and basic woodcarving techniques such as sharpening and cut types.

All experience levels are welcome.

The Center is located at 3083 Liberty Road in Delaware. Cost is just $10, and registration is required. Additional material fees will be discussed at the meeting. Ages 16 and older please.

Online registration is available here.
