ODOT District 6 has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves. What follows are posted projects taking place within Delaware County and Franklin County.
Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning on August 1.
DELAWARE COUNTY
State Route 315
NEW IMPACTS
SR 315 between Bean-Oller Rd. and Hyatts Rd. will close starting Monday, August 9 through Friday, August 20 for culvert replacement. Detour: SR 315 to SR 750 to U.S. 23 to SR 315 or reverse.
U.S. Route 36
CONTINUING IMPACTS
U.S. 36 Intersection Safety Improvement – The intersection of U.S. 36 and SR 257 will have daily lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 5 p.m.) starting Monday, August 2 through October 2021 for traffic signal installation. Traffic will be maintained by flaggers.
Interstate 71
CONTINUING IMPACTS
- I-71 southbound between Gemini Place and I-270 will have nightly lane restrictions (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15 for resurfacing work.
- The Gemini Place ramp to I-71 southbound will close nightly (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: Gemini Pl. to Polaris Pkwy. eastbound to Cleveland Ave. southbound to I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound.
- The I-71 southbound ramps to I-270 eastbound and westbound will close nightly (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 161 eastbound to I-71 northbound to I-270 eastbound/westbound.
- The Polaris Parkway eastbound and westbound ramps to I-71 southbound will close nightly (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, June 27 through Sunday, August 15.
- Eastbound detour: Cleveland Ave. southbound to I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound.
- Westbound detour: U.S. 23 southbound to I-270 eastbound to I-71 southbound.
The following ramps will close weekdays, Monday – Friday (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) and weekends, Saturday and Sunday (8 p.m. – 8 a.m.) for resurfacing:
- The I-71 southbound ramp to I-270 westbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 161 to I-71 northbound to I-270 westbound.
- The I-71 southbound ramp to I-270 eastbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 161 to I-71 northbound to I-270 eastbound.
- The I-71 northbound ramp to I-270 westbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. to I-270 westbound.
- The I-270 eastbound ramp to I-71 southbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: I-270 eastbound to Cleveland Ave. to I-270 westbound to I-71 southbound.
- The I-270 westbound ramp to I-71 southbound on the north side will close nightly starting Sunday, July 25 through Sunday, August 15.
- Detour: I-270 westbound to U.S. 23 southbound to SR 161 eastbound to I-71 southbound.
State Route 61
CONTINUING IMPACTS
SR 61 and Wilson Rd./SR 656 Roundabout – The intersection of SR 61 and Wilson Rd./SR 656 will close starting Tuesday, June 1 through August 2021 for construction of a peanut roundabout.
- Detour: SR 61 to I-71 southbound to US 36 eastbound to SR 36/3 eastbound to SR 61 or reverse.
FRANKLIN COUNTY
Interstate 71
NEW IMPACTS
- I-71 southbound between Frank Rd. and Stringtown Rd. will have daily lane restrictions (9 a.m. – 2 p.m.) on Tuesday, August 10 and Wednesday, August 11.
- I-71 northbound between White Rd. and I-270 will have nighty lane restrictions (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 8 through Friday, August 13 for striping.
- The I-71 northbound ramp to Stringtown Rd. will close overnight (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Monday, August 9.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to Frank Rd. westbound to I-71 southbound to Stringtown Rd.
- The I-71 northbound ramps to I-270 eastbound/westbound will close overnight (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Monday, August 9.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to Frank Rd. westbound to I-71 southbound to I-270 eastbound/westbound.
- The Stringtown Rd. ramp to I-71 northbound will close overnight (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Monday, August 9.
- Detour: I-71 southbound to SR 665 to I-71 northbound.

- I-270 eastbound and westbound between Riverside Dr. and Smoky Row Rd. will have nightly lane restrictions (7 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, August 8 through Friday, August 13 for paving.
- The I-270 westbound ramps to Sawmill Rd. will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Sunday, August 8 and Monday, August 9.
- Detour: I-270 westbound to Tuttle Crossing Blvd. to I-270 eastbound to Sawmill Rd.
- The Sawmill Rd. northbound and southbound ramps to I-270 westbound will close nightly (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Monday, August 9 through Wednesday, August 11.
- Detour: Sawmill Rd to I-270 eastbound to SR 315 northbound to I-270 westbound.
- The I-270 eastbound ramps to Sawmill Rd. will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Wednesday, August 11 and Thursday, August 12.
- Detour: I-270 eastbound to SR 315 northbound to I-270 westbound to Sawmill Rd.
- The Sawmill Rd. northbound and southbound ramps to I-270 eastbound will close nightly (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Thursday, August 12 and Friday, August 13.

- The I-71 southbound ramp to I-670 eastbound will close overnight (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Wednesday, August 11.
- Detour: I-670 westbound to SR 315 southbound to I-70 eastbound/I-71 northbound to I-670 eastbound.
- The I-670 eastbound ramp to International Gateway will close overnight (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Thursday, August 12.
- Detour: I-670 eastbound to 17th Ave. to Stelzer Rd. northbound to International Gateway.
- The I-670 westbound ramp to I-71 southbound will close nightly (10 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Sunday, august 8 through Thursday, August 12.
- Detour: I-71 northbound to 11th Ave. to I-71 southbound.
- I-670 westbound between I-71 and 4th St. will have overnight lane restrictions (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) on Sunday, August 8.
- I-670 eastbound between 3rd St. and I-71 will have nightly lane restrictions (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Monday, August 9 through Wednesday, August 11.
