Through February 9 – “Bijoux Contemporains: Francophone Artists Reimagine Adornment,” featuring works by 13 jewelers from French-speaking countries in Canada and Europe, at the Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. Each creator reimagines the ways art and jewelry inform one another in a contemporary context. The exhibit is organized by Noel Guyomarc’h in collaboration with Erin Fletcher, director of the Ross Art Museum; Mary Anne Lewis Cusato, associate professor of modern foreign languages; and Cynthia Cetlin, professor of fine arts. Through February 9 – “Figuring Our Humanity,” featuring two-dimensional prints and three-dimensional ceramic works that invite the viewers to contemplate the expressive, unique, and timeless visual qualities of the human figure, and the idea of humanity, at the Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. The exhibition is curated by Kristina Bogdanov, associate professor of fine arts, and OWU alumna Tammy Wallace, assistant director of the museum. The exhibit includes ceramic artists Jim Bowling, Sarah Hahn, Kyle and Kelly Phelps, Tara Polansky, Richard Swanson, Paul Wandless, and Janis Mars Wunderlich. Special events planned in connection with the exhibition include a figure-drawing class at 7

4 PM on February 5 Poet and essayist Molly McCully Brown reads from her writings and signs books, in the Bayley Room on the second floor of Beeghly Library, 43 Rowland Ave., Delaware. Brown, M.F.A., is the author of “The Virginia State Colony for Epileptics and Feebleminded,” a collection of poetry described by The New York Times as “part history lesson, part séance, part ode to dread. … It is beautiful and devastating.” Her writing has appeared or is forthcoming in The Paris Review, Tin House, Crazyhorse, The New York Times, Pleiades, The Yale Review, Blackbird, and elsewhere. She currently teaches at Kenyon College, where she is the Kenyon Review Fellow in Poetry. Copies of her books will be available for purchase at the event. OWU High School Honor Band Festival

8 PM on February 13-15 and 2 PM on February 16 – “Eurydice” by Sarah Ruhl. This award-winning modern playwright takes the classical Orpheus myth of love and loss and gives it a new perspective in this imaginative and poetic work. Told from the point of view of Orpheus’s wife, Eurydice, this play is by turns magical, exuberant, hopeful, and heart-rending. Directed by faculty member Bradford Sadler, “Eurydice” will be performed in the Studio Theatre inside Ohio Wesleyan’s Chappelear Drama Center, 45 Rowland Ave., Delaware. Tickets are $10 for general admission and $5 for senior citizens, Ohio Wesleyan employees, and non-OWU students. Admission is free for Ohio Wesleyan students with a valid OWU ID. February 21 and 22 2020 Democratic Mock Presidential Convention – OWU students will create a Democratic Party platform and select presidential and vice presidential candidates. The two-day event, which simulates a national nominating convention, will take place Feb. 21-22 in Gray Chapel inside University Hall, 61 S. Sandusky St. The event is free and open to the public. 4 PM to 10 PM on February 21OWU’s 2020 Mock Convention will kick off with opening ceremonies followed by platform debates. (Doors open at 3 p.m.)

February 25-April 5 – “From the Studio,” featuring new works by Ohio Wesleyan’s fine arts faculty members, at the Richard M. Ross Art Museum, 60 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. The exhibit will feature new works in clay, metal, painting and drawing, fabric, photography, printmaking, sculpture, and graphic design by OWU faculty members Kristina Bogdanov, Cynthia Cetlin, Frank Hobbs, James Krehbiel, Jeffrey Nilan, and Jonathan Quick.
