Preservation Parks will hold an open house at Shale Hollow Park on Sunday, November 18 from 1 to 3 PM for the public to view proposed new hiking trails for the southern half of the park. Currently the southern section of the park is closed to the public.
Below are links to documents that will be on view at the open house. Preservation Parks welcomes your comments and questions on the proposal. Call Matt Simpson, Preservation Parks’ chief landscape architect and park planner at 740-524-8600, ext. 2, or send an email to: firstname.lastname@example.org
Shale Hollow Park was established after multiple land acquisitions culminating in 2015, and is “named for the curve in the tributary to the Olentangy State Scenic River that runs through the park, and for the shale evident in the cliff walls and stream bed,” according to the Preservation Parks website.
