Lovers of feathered friends join together each month as the Delaware County Bird Club holds get-togethers at Deer Haven park on selected Monday evenings.
Anyone interested in birds is welcome to attend, and all ages are welcome. Each meeting features a different speaker covering exciting birding-related topics. Doors open at 6:30 PM with the program beginning at 7 PM.The two upcoming meetings feature the following speakers:
On January 28, Tom Sheley will present “Spring Migration in Texas.” Join Sheley on a quest to witness spring migrants and resident birds along the Great Texas Coastal Birding Trail.
On February 25, college senior Kyle Davis and high school sophomore Adriana Losey share “Feather Degrading Bacteria in the Tropics & More than Birds” Davis will be discussing his quest to study feather degrading bacteria in Costa Rica, while Losey will be sharing her experience at Camp Colorado and how birding can lead to new friendships.
