US Legal History Expert To Speak On Fourteenth Amendment

Michael Les Benedict, Ph.D., an expert on U.S. Legal and Constitutional History and the Civil War and Reconstruction, will present “The Transformative 14th Amendment: The Constitutional Amendment that Reshaped America” at 7:30 PM on September 20 at Ohio Wesleyan University.

A retired professor from The Ohio State University, Benedict will speak in Benes Rooms A and B of Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware. His free presentation is the 2018 Richard W. Smith Lecture in Civil War History sponsored by the Ohio Wesleyan Department of History. More…

Polar Bear Cubs To Move To Maryland

Nuniq, Neva, and Amelia Gray—the only polar bear cubs born at a North American zoological facility in 2016—are scheduled to move from the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium this fall.

OWU Hosting Hispanic Film Festival

 Ohio Wesleyan University’s 2018 Hispanic Film Festival kicks off Sept. 11 and continues through Nov. 1, showcasing five movies from Spain and Latin America.

Each free screening will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. in Room 312 of the R.W. Corns Building, 78 S. Sandusky St., Delaware. Some films may contain mature themes and language. All screenings will conclude with a discussion led by Ohio Wesleyan students and faculty. More…
