Bishops’ Ansari Accepted into Peace Corps – Ohio Wesleyan University Athletics

Senior Mahnoor Ansari (Lahore, Pakistan/Beaconhouse) of the Ohio Wesleyan rowing team was recently accepted into the Peace Corps. Ansari will be going to Panama, however, she will not know her specific placement until she arrives for her 3-month in-country training. Her job title will be Sustainable Agriculture Extension Promoter.

Polaris Office Building Reportedly Sold, Has New Tenant

Columbus Business First reported this week that the three story office building at 8740 Orion Place has sold to Brad Kitchen of Alterra Real Estate Advisors with a price tag of $4.9 million.

The building will house a relocated MAXTech Agency and its 15 employees. According to its website, the company is involved in web design and development, digital marketing, and IT managed services.

Breathing Easier: Report Notes Improving Air Quality In Central Ohio

On Thursday, the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC) released its annual air quality report. The report provides a summary of air quality data from November 2018-October 2019. Findings from the 2018-2019 air quality season continued the trend of improved air quality in Central Ohio.

MORPC issues daily air quality forecasts and notifies the public when ozone and particle pollution levels are considered to be unhealthy for sensitive groups of people. More…

Inmate death ruled accidental overdose

Detectives suspected that Edward Sullivan died of a drug overdose in March inside the Delaware County jail. A fellow inmate, Seth Coulter, was charged with conveying drugs into the jail that others used. But there wasn’t enough evidence to connect Sullivan’s fentanyl overdose with what Coulter supplied.

County Farmer Honored For Lifetime Contribution to Agriculture
