MTSO To Install New Dean

The Methodist Theological School in Ohio has announced the Installation details for its new dean.

The MTSO Board of Trustees voted May 25 to appoint Valerie Bridgeman to a three-year term as dean and vice president for academic affairs, beginning July 1. Bridgeman, who has served as interim academic dean since July 1, 2017, was nominated by President Jay Rundell with the concurrence of the faculty. More…

Olentangy Local Students Named As National Merit Semifinalists

Twenty Olentangy Local School District students have been named as semifinalists in the National Merit Scholarship Program.

The students are among approximately 1.6 million high school seniors from across the country who entered the National Merit Scholarship Program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT). Semifinalists represent the top 16,000 highest scoring students. More…

DHL Supply Chain Breaks Ground For New Delaware County HQ; Enters Into Tree Planting Arrangement With OSU

Logistics company DHL Supply Chain moved ahead with its commitment to keep its North American headquarters in Westerville by breaking ground on Thursday on a $20 million corporate office building, Columbus Business First has reported.

The 145,000 square foot building is in the Westar Complex off of Polaris Parkway. Westerville City Council gave the corporation a 12%, 10 year property tax abatement to invest in the city.

DHL Supply Chain also announced this week that it has partnered with The Ohio State University to plant 30 trees near the Schottenstein Center. More…

The “sky’s the limit” this Saturday as the Central Ohio Rocketry & Spacemodeling Alliance hosts its monthly launch at Freedom Park in Sunbury.

Join the group to launch your rockets or just to watch the fun. Members will be on hand to answer questions and to demonstrate many facets of model rocketry. They will supply launch equipment and might be able to offer motors for you to use. They can also inspect your rocket, and help you prepare it for flight. If it needs repair, they can offer tips, and possibly even help repair it on the spot. More…

Olentangy Local Schools‘ Equity and Inclusion Department on September 20th will kick off a Parent Workshop Series designed to help families support their children in raising awareness across a variety of topics relating to diversity, equity and inclusion.

The first workshop will feature Dr. Hasan Kwame Jeffries, a well-respected professor at The Ohio State University and a OLSD ONE COMMUNITY presenter.
