Delaware Man Indicted For OWU Burglary

A Delaware County Grand Jury has returned an indictment against 26-year-old Chaz Allen Holland, of Delaware.

Charges come after police responded to eight reports of missing property from buildings on the OWU campus between the dates of July 12, 2018 and November 25, 2018. More…

Joe DeLoss, founder, owner, and head fryer of Columbus-based Hot Chicken Takeover, will discuss his company’s efforts to provide supportive jobs for people working to overcome past incarceration, homelessness, and other barriers to successful employment, during a moderated chat February 21 at Ohio Wesleyan University.

DeLoss will speak at 7:30 PM in Benes Room B of the Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware. OWU Seeks Public Comments Prior To Accreditation Evaluation

Ohio Wesleyan University is seeking comments from the public about the college in preparation for its periodic evaluation by its regional accrediting agency. All comments must be received by February 4.

Two OWU Students To Spend Semester In Florence And Paris

Two Ohio Wesleyan University students have earned competitive Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholarships to study abroad during the upcoming spring semester.

OWU Theory-to-Practice Grants Fuel Research, Internships, And Careers

From completing community mapping work in Costa Rica to comparing life expectancies in Italy and the United States, Ohio Wesleyan University students are receiving nearly $49,000 in new university-funded grants to support academic, research, and internship experiences. Ohio Wesleyan today announced it is awarding seven new Theory-to-Practice grants to enable 12 students and four faculty and staff mentors to complete OWU Connection experiences on campus; in Columbus; and abroad in Costa Rica, Italy, Morocco, and Northern Ireland.

OWU Appoints Alumna As Executive Director Of New University Initiative

To lead its new OWU Career Connection Center, Ohio Wesleyan University conducted a national search to find “a creative and visionary leader” who would serve as “an energetic, engaging and passionate advocate” for students preparing for a lifetime of fulfilling work.

It turns out the ideal candidate already was working on the Ohio Wesleyan campus and exemplifying all of the qualities she will help to develop in current and future OWU students. The university has announced that the appointment of 2005 alumna Megan R. Sanders Ellis as executive director of the new OWU Career Connection Center. She currently is serving as administrative director of Ohio Wesleyan’s Woltemade Center for Economics, Business and Entrepreneurship.
