Community Film Series Sponsored By OWU

This past week we shared a post about the upcoming Documentary Film Festival coming to Ohio Wesleyan University later this month.

As it turns out, that’s not the only film event hitting Delaware County this spring.

The Community Film Series returns to the Strand Theatre this year for seven weeks in March and April. The annual series is a collaboration between the historic movie theatre, 28 E. Winter St., Delaware, and the Ohio Wesleyan University Department of English and Film Studies Program. More…

Documentary Film Festival To Showcase Student Filmakers

Ohio Wesleyan University student-filmmakers will screen and discuss their works at 7 PM on February 22 during the 15th Annual OWU Documentary Film Festival. The free event will be held in Benes Room B of OWU’s Hamilton-Williams Campus Center, 40 Rowland Ave., Delaware.

All of the student-filmmakers were enrolled fall semester in the university’s Ethnographic and Documentary Film and Filmmaking class, taught by Mary Howard, Ph.D., professor of sociology/anthropology, and Chuck Della Lana, director of media services. More…
