Porch Parade Starts Friday Night In Powell And Liberty Township

The Liberty Township Fire Department, Powell Police Department, Delaware County Sheriff’s Office and Olentangy Local School District are hosting a Porch Parade from 6 to 8 PM on Friday, May 1; noon to 2 PM on Saturday, May 2; and 3 to 5 PM on Sunday, May 3. The parade will feature a fire truck, ambulance, school bus and police cruisers.

Residents are encouraged to wave American flags inside or outside of their homes, decorate their sidewalks or driveways with chalk and to practice good social distancing. More…

Take A Walking Tour Of Downtown Powell

Christmas Movie Filmed In Powell To Air This Weekend

Christmas is clearly in the air in southern Delaware County –even in the middle of the summer!

The City of Powell has shared the news that a movie filmed in Powell this past summer, “Country Christmas Album,” is making its cable TV debut this weekend. The film will be shown on the ION Channel (Spectrum Channel 231 in Powell) at 9 PM on Saturday.

When internationally distributed newspaper 24/7 Wall Street choose its criteria for the Best Cities in which to live among some 20,000 competitors nationwide, a Delaware County Community was well-positioned.

The list looked at American communities and measured them according to a weighted index of over two dozen individual measures. When that was done, the city of Powell finished in fifteenth position. More…
