ODOT Seeks Comments On US36 Project In Vicinity Of New Multi-Use Trail

An Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) project to improve the intersection of U.S. 36 at County Road 605 (Condit Road) in Trenton Township in eastern Delaware County is expected to begin next summer.

The project will add a left-turn lane on U.S. 36, install a traffic signal, and make drainage improvements at the intersection. To construct these improvements, 0.437acre of a standard highway easement will be acquired from land owned by Preservation Parks of Delaware County, which is to be developed into a multi-use trail that will be part of the Ohio to Erie Trail system. Coughlin’s Crossing Site Work Along US 23 Underway

Construction activity along US 23 for the Coughlin’s Crossing mixed-use development has begun.

Delaware Development Plan Ltd.  is paying for US 23 intersection improvements at Hawthorn Boulevard, Delaware Community Plaza South and Cottswold Drive.  The City will provide oversight and construction inspection. More…

State Route To Close For Two Weeks

A well-traveled Delaware County thoroughfare will be “down for the count” over the next two weeks as culvert replacement work takes place.

On section of State Route 257 will be closed beginning on Monday at 8 AM until Friday, March 22 at 3 PM. The affected area will be between US36 and Penn Road.

The official detour is as follows: SR 257 to US 36 to Section Line Road to US40 to SR257 – or, of course, the reverse. More…

Powell Seeking Comments On Proposed Resurfacing Project

The City of Powell and the Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) District 6 are proposing to resurface a portion of Sawmill Parkway between Seldom Seen Road and Home Road.

The project also includes curb repairs, curb ramp improvements, and repairs of the Shared Use Path (SUP) that runs along the west side of Sawmill Parkway. ODOT, the City of Powell, and the City’s engineering consultant (EMH&T), are currently in the planning phase of the project, conducting environmental analyses, and preparing preliminary engineering plans for this project. Delaware Street Turning Into Pedestrian Only Area

Work has begun to convert Marshall Court in Delaware to a pedestrian-only area.

The short roadway, which runs from North Sandusky Street to North Union Street, separates the Delaware County Courthouse and the Rutherford B. Hayes Administrative Building. The project is part of ongoing improvements to the County government’s facilities.
