There is a tradition in Genoa Township that each year the Chair of the Board of Trustees shares an update video of the Township, reflecting achievements of the previous year.

This year it was the turn of Trustee Karl Gebhardt.

According to the Township website, Gebhardt was first elected to the Board of Trustees in 2009, and has extensive private business and public service experience. Among positions he has held was that of Deputy Director of the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency and the Ohio Department of Natural Resources.

Gebhardt’s “State of the Township” video looks both back at 2020 and ahead at 2021. The last year saw the impact on pandemic; the resulting increased use of technology; voter passage of  new levy for parks and trails; continued fiscal health; a new police station built on time and under budget; a new medic and fire engine; and the largest road paving project in Township history, which addressed nearly 20% of local roads.

The video can be viewed below.
