This coming Saturday, take a moment out of your Thanksgiving weekend to return to yesteryear for some good old-fashioned fun.

The wonderful folks at Gallant Farm is hosting an afternoon for visitors to come and play board games that were invited to distract from the hard times of the Great Depression.[widgets_on_pages id=1]

Monopoly and Scrabble were first sold during the 1930s. Other games introduced during that decade were Sorry! and Easy Money.

The fun starts at 1 PM, and no registration is required.

Gallant Farm, located at 2150 Buttermilk Hill Road, is a living history experience portraying an operating, Depression-era farm. It is operated by Preservation Parks of Delaware County.
