The folks at Stratford Ecological Center are hosting classes on Regenerative Agriculture as their 2021 Farm Series for Adults.

The series will present Stratford’s farmer, Jeff Dickinson, as well as other experts in an exploration of the principles and practices of a healthy food system. Whether you are interested in farming or would simply like to learn more about food agriculture, this series will take you “behind the scenes” for a first-hand experience on a real working farm.

With an attitude of stewardship at the forefront, Stratford practices principles of Regenerative Agriculture.

These sessions  will explore farming stewardship practices related to biodiversity, the conservation of natural areas, the soil food web, integrating grass-fed livestock, and apiculture.

As you look at the health of our food system directly related to the health of the natural ecosystems, you will gain a deeper understanding of our connection to these ecological processes.  This understanding gives us a greater awareness of the positive impact we can have on our environment.

The next class is June 19 from 10 AM to Noon, and will continue on the third Saturday of each month through October. The cost is $25 per session.

Online registration can be accomplished here.
