In a Facebook announcement posted on Thursday, Raising Cane’s unveiled the opening date for Delaware’s newest eatery.
“Coming to Delaware September 10, 2019,” it reads.

The city of Delaware is poised to add to its collection of eateries soon as the city’s Planning Commission gave the green light to a new Raising Cane’s restaurant at November meeting.
The company’s submission of a combined preliminary and final development plan was approved unanimously by the Commission, which light heartedly noted that no chicken was brought to entice “yes” votes. The 3,200 square foot restaurant would be constructed on 1.485 acres at 720 Sunbury Road. The site would be on the northeast corner of US 36/37 and Mill Run Crossing. The facility would be faced with limestone and brick, a first for the chain in the area, a representative noted, and include a covered patio area.
This would be the first outlot restaurant in front of the Glennwood Commons shopping center.
According to its website, Raising Cane’s was “founded by Todd Graves in 1996 in Baton Rouge, Lousiana. Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers has more than 400 restaurants in 24 states, Bahrain, Kuwait, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates with multiple new restaurants under construction.
