Lovers of Broadway and musical theatre in the Delaware area have a treat coming next Sunday, when Arena Fair welcomes the star of Broadway’s The Wizard of Oz.

Jess & Judy: A Tribute to Judy Garland features Jessica Grové, who at age 15 originated the role of Dorothy in THE WIZARD OF OZ at New York City’s Madison Square Garden, as well as on the National Tour, performing alongside legends Mickey Rooney and Eartha Kitt.

Delaware is a unique place in which to hold this concert, as Judy Garland’s father, Vincent Minelli, spent part of his childhood here.

Hilliard native Grové will be performing in the Willis Education Center School Auditorium, and proceeds from the event will benefit auditorium restoration.

According to its website, Arena Fair is Delaware’s Community Theater. Every great mid-American city needs a performing ground for the public to present great works and theater through the prism of the Delaware community. This is done through works of American musical theater, plays and musical reviews.

Sunday’s event begins at 2:00 PM. Tickets are available here.
