Join your friends for a pre-game tailgate and then cheer on the Ohio Wesleyan University football team – all for free – during the Oct. 22 Bishop Backer Fall Community Day at Selby Stadium.

The tailgate will begin at noon with Delaware police officers and firefighters, and Ohio Wesleyan Public Safety officers grilling up free hotdogs and hamburgers for the community. Then, the Battling Bishops will take on the DePauw Tigers at 1 p.m., with OWU faculty recognized at halftime.

“The Bishop Backers is pleased to invite the community to Selby Stadium for this year’s free Fall Community Day,” said Doug Zipp, OWU athletics director. “This is a great day to spend time with friends and family, meet and share lunch with Delaware’s first responders, and cheer on the Bishops as they seek to tame the Tigers. We hope you can join us.”

During the regular season, admission for ticketed OWU athletics events is $5 for adults and $3 for senior citizens, non-OWU students, and children 12 and over. Admission is free for Ohio Wesleyan students with a valid university ID.

All-sports season passes also are available for $50 per pass through the OWU Athletics Department. Call (740) 368-3726 or visit battlingbishops.com for more information, including the Ohio Wesleyan’s complete fall athletics schedule.
