The City of Delaware has shared the Agenda for the City Council Regular Meeting, scheduled for Monday, June 12. The meeting will take place in the Council Chambers of the City Hall, located at 1 S. Sandusky St. An executive session will kick off the proceedings at 6:30 PM, followed by the regular meeting at 7:00 PM.

One of the first items on the agenda is the transfer of a class D5 liquor permit from Vjosa Food Service LLC, which operates under the name Freddy’s Street Food, to Cined LLC, doing business as Taqueria Ay Caramba. Both establishments are located at 1165 Columbus Pike in Delaware.

Another liquor-related matter pertains to a TREX liquor permit transfer to AIC of Ohio, LLC, located at 59 Potter Street. The permit, encompassing classes D-1, D-2, and D-3, will be transferred from Riley Food Systems, LLC.

Moreover, Council will consider several ordinances related to residential and commercial development within the city. Ordinance No. 23-39 seeks a two-year extension to the approved Preliminary Development Plan for the Houk Road Condominiums. This Planned Residential District (PRD) development, managed by WEEE LLC., will consist of 42 single-family attached dwelling units spread over 18.28 acres on the west side of Houk Road and just north of Greenlawn Drive.

City Council will also review the Preliminary Development Plan for The Townhomes at Addison Farms. This planned development, covered under Ordinance No. 23-40 and 23-41, includes 146 attached single-family units on a parcel of land approximately 17.523 acres in size. The property is zoned R-3 PMU (One-Family Residential District with a Planned Mixed Use Overlay District) and is located just north of the future Merrick Boulevard and west of the future Heritage Boulevard.

Another significant item on the docket is the approval of a Conditional Use Permit for G2G Self-Storage. According to Ordinance No. 23-42 and 23-43, this will allow the establishment of a self-storage facility on a property zoned B-3 (Community Business District). This property spans approximately 7.681 acres and is situated north of the future Biltmore Drive and south of Bowtown Road.

Ordinance No. 23-44 proposes a change in a street name, with East Point Crossing to be renamed as Public Works Drive. The council will also be considering Ordinance No. 23-45, an emergency ordinance supplementing the 2023 Appropriation Ordinance.
