As summer heats up, Delaware County is once again rallying together to support those in need through the annual Fans for Friends drive. Coordinated by the Delaware County Emergency Management Agency (EMA) and People In Need, Inc. (PIN), this program aims to provide relief from the heat for county residents who need it the most.

About the Program

The Fans for Friends program is a crucial community initiative designed to collect and distribute new fans to residents served by PIN. With heat being the number one weather-related cause of injuries and fatalities in the United States, this program can significantly impact public health and safety. Donations are accepted at various locations throughout the county, making it easy for residents to contribute.

How to Donate

Donating to Fans for Friends is straightforward. New fans can be dropped off at designated collection points from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM, seven days a week, unless otherwise noted. Here are the drop-off locations:

  • All Delaware County EMS Stations
  • All Delaware County Fire Stations
    • Radnor Township Fire Department: Limited hours between 8:00 AM and 4:30 PM
    • Scioto Township Fire Department: 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, 7 days a week, rear of the building
  • Ashley Wornstaff Memorial Library: 302 E High St, Ashley during normal operating hours
  • Community Library Sunbury: 44 Burrer Dr, Sunbury during normal operating hours
  • Delaware County District Library: All branches during normal operating hours
