Tales from local and national history will be taking center stage on March 2 as the Sixth Annual “Days Gone By” Storytelling Event takes place in the Galena Village Hall.

From 1 to 3 PM, learn more about history through a special historical presentation highlighting one of our First Ladies – Dolley Madison – with a diorama created and presented by Patricia Swisher of Galena.

Enjoy light refreshments and conversation with friends, neighbors, and members of the Galena Historic Foundation. You are welcome to share your Galena past or present stories as well.

As a reminder, it’s never too early to register for the July 4th Flea Market. It is only $25 to reserve a 25’ x 20’ space. Non-profit organizations can reserve at no charge. The Flea Market will be at Miller Park, 268 N. Walnut St., and will be held between 8 AM and 4 PM.

Reservation forms are available in the Village Hall foyer. You may also contact President John Bland at (740) 965-2081 or email him at jwbslb@embarqmail.com if you have any questions or if you have anything historical you would like to share with the Foundation in the future.
