Ohio Wesleyan University will begin its 2026 football season beneath the lights at Selby Stadium, opening a 10-game schedule against Bluffton on Thursday, Sept. 3, at 7:00 PM. The unusual weeknight opener launches a season that gives Delaware fans six opportunities to see the Battling Bishops at home. It also begins a demanding September featuring four games in 24 days, including consecutive road contests against DePauw and Denison.

OWU will remain at Selby Stadium for its second game, welcoming John Carroll on Saturday, Sept. 12, at 1:00 PM. The game will be part of Bishop Backers Community Day and will open the Bishops’ North Coast Athletic Conference schedule.

Two Early Tests Away From Delaware

Following the opening homestand, Ohio Wesleyan will travel to Greencastle, Indiana, to face DePauw at 1:00 PM on Sept. 19. The Bishops will remain on the road the following weekend, making the short trip to Granville for a 2:00 PM meeting with Denison on Sept. 26.

That two-game stretch will be OWU’s only run of consecutive road dates during the season. The Bishops will play just four games away from Selby Stadium, with later trips taking them to Oberlin and Kenyon.

Homecoming Opens October

Ohio Wesleyan will return to Delaware on Saturday, Oct. 3, for its Homecoming game against Wooster. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 PM at Selby Stadium.

After an open weekend on Oct. 10, the Bishops will resume play at home against Wittenberg on Oct. 17 at 1:00 PM. The game begins a closing stretch in which OWU will play four of its final five contests in Ohio and three of them at Selby Stadium.

The Bishops travel to Oberlin for a 1:00 PM kickoff on Oct. 24 before returning home to face Wabash on Oct. 31. That Halloween afternoon matchup is also scheduled for 1:00 PM.

Senior Day and the Season Finale

Ohio Wesleyan’s final home appearance will come Nov. 7 against Washington University in St. Louis. The 1:00 PM game will serve as Senior Day, giving the program an opportunity to recognize its graduating players before the home crowd. The regular season concludes one week later, when the Bishops travel to Gambier to face Kenyon at 1:00 PM on Nov. 14.
