An October evening at The Barn at Stratford will bring together bourbon, food, and a cause rooted in Delaware County’s past. The Delaware County Historical Society will host Bourbon at the Barn on Wednesday, October 21, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at The Barn at Stratford, 2690 Stratford Road in Delaware. The fundraising event will feature a guided tasting led by master of ceremonies Genti Koci, a local bourbon aficionado and owner of Opa Grill & Tavern and Prohibition Gastro.
Four Bourbons and a Guided Tasting
Guests will sample four curated bourbons during the evening, accompanied by complimentary light food pairings. Along the way, participants will learn about bourbon selection, flavor profiles, and tasting techniques, offering both newcomers and longtime bourbon fans an opportunity to better understand what goes into evaluating a pour.
The event is designed as both a social evening and a fundraiser, with proceeds supporting the Delaware County Historical Society’s educational programs, exhibits, preservation work, and community outreach.
VIP Guests Get an Early Start
A VIP ticket adds an additional hour before the main event. VIP guests may arrive from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM for a cocktail and cigar with Koci before the general tasting begins.
Regular admission is $75 for Delaware County Historical Society members and $90 for non-members. VIP tickets are $125.
Limited to 150 Guests
Attendance is limited to 150 people, and advance reservations are encouraged. Registration remains open until 12:00 PM on October 21, the day of the event, provided tickets have not sold out. Tickets and additional information are available through Eventbrite.
For the Historical Society, the evening offers a different kind of way to support local history: one measured four pours at a time.
