Work continues on the region’s roadways. Below is information from the Ohio Department of Transportation for improvement and construction projects for Delaware and Franklin Counties during the coming week. As always, work is weather dependent.

DELAWARE

New Impacts

SR 229 Bridge Rehabilitation

  • SR 229 east of Weiser Rd. will close starting Monday, October 19 for 30 days.
    • Detour: U.S. 23 to SR 98 to SR 529 to SR 746 to U.S. 42 to SR 229 or reverse

SR 257 Culvert Replacement

  • SR 257 between Ostrander Rd. / Warrensburg Rd. and SR 37 will close starting 7 a.m. Monday, October 19 through 3 p.m. Friday, October 23.
    • Detours:
      • North side of closure: SR 257 northbound to SR 37 eastbound to Section Line Rd. southbound to U.S. 36 westbound to SR 257 northbound
      • South side of closure: SR 257 southbound to U.S. 36 eastbound to Section Line Rd. northbound to SR 37 westbound to SR 257 southbound

SR 315 / SR 750 Intersection Inspection

  • The intersection of SR 315 and SR 750 will have various overnight lane restrictions (11 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Thursday, October 15.

Continuing Impacts

SR 229 Resurfacing

  • SR 229 between U.S. 23 and the Village of Ashley will have various daytime lane restrictions (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.) starting Monday, May 11 through Fall 2026.

I-71/U.S. 36/SR 37 Sunbury Parkway

  • The I-71 northbound ramp to U.S. 36/SR 37 will be reduced to one lane starting Wednesday, April 8 through Fall 2026.

FRANKLIN

New Impacts

I-71/Main St. Interchange Improvements

  • The I-71 southbound ramp to Main St. will close starting 7 p.m. Friday, October 16 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 26.
    • Detour: I-71 southbound to I-70 eastbound to Kelton Ave. northbound to Main St.
    • Detour: I-670 eastbound to 3rd St. to Main St.
  • Main St. eastbound between Washington Ave and Lester Dr. will be reduced to one lane starting 7 p.m. Friday, October 16 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 26.
  • I-71 southbound between Town St. and Main St. will be reduced to two lanes starting 7 p.m. Friday, October 16 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 19.
  • I-71 southbound between Town St. and Main St. will be reduced to two lanes starting 7 p.m. Friday, October 23 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 26.

I-270/Easton Way Intersection Improvements

  • The I-270 southbound ramp to Easton Way will close overnight (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Sunday, October 25.
    • Detour: I-270 southbound to SR 317 to I-270 northbound to Easton Way
  • I-270 southbound between Morse Rd. and Easton Way will be reduced to two lanes overnight (8 p.m. – 5 a.m.) Sunday, October 25.

I-270 Resurfacing

  • I-270 northbound at U.S. 33 on the southeast side will be reduced to one lane overnight (8 p.m. – 6 a.m.) Friday, October 16
  • I-270 northbound at U.S. 33 on the southeast side will be reduced to two lanes starting 6 a.m. Saturday, October 17 through 5 a.m. Monday, October 19.

SR 665 Culvert Replacement

  • SR 665 between U.S. 62 and Norton Rd. will close starting Monday, October 19 for 12 days
    • Detour: SR 665 to U.S. 62 to I-71 to SR 56 or reverse

Continuing Impacts

I-270/Easton Way Intersection Improvements

  • The I-270 northbound ramp to Easton Way will be reduced to one lane starting 7 p.m. Sunday, October 4 for 30 days
  • Easton Way westbound between I-270 and Stelzer Rd. will be reduced to one lane starting 7 p.m. Sunday, October 4 for 30 days
  • Easton Way eastbound between Stelzer Rd. and I-270 will be reduced to one lane starting 7 a.m. Monday, October 12 through 5 p.m. Monday, October 19.

Far East Freeway

  • Brice Rd. over I-70 will be reduced to one lane in each direction starting Saturday, August 2, 2025. Two left turn lanes on Brice Rd. northbound to I-70 WB will be maintained.

U.S. 33/Petzinger Road Improvements

  • U.S. 33 westbound between I-70 and SR 104 will have various overnight lane restrictions (9 p.m. – 5 a.m.) starting Monday, September 14 for 26 days
