In a heartfelt message on its Facebook Page, Sweet Carrot founder Angela Petro announced on Monday that the chain’s locations at Polaris and Dublin have closed.

As Petro noted, the chain began with a single location at Grandview and Fifth in Columbus, and then grew to three locations within three years.

As the announcement shared,

“That pride in the business and early success led me to open another location, then another pretty quickly. Three restaurants in 3 years. We have increased our fan base, taken great local, wholesome, made from scratch food to parts of the community where a lot of the options are chain restaurants. I’m proud of that and it was a good idea…

I did it too soon.”

The original Sweet Carrot will live on in Grandview, as will its successful catering business.
