It’s almost here – the Central Ohio Symphony’s traditional Fourth of July Concert, followed by the City of Delaware’s annual fireworks extravaganza.

From 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM, join the Symphony for their 34th annual holiday concert featuring your favorite patriotic music including the 1812 Overture, complete with cannon blasts!

This is a great family event.  Lawn seating is free at the concert venue – Phillips Glen, behind Gray Chapel at 61 South Sandusky Street on the campus of Ohio Wesleyan University. Chair seating is $6.

You can purchase tickets for chair seating at the Symphony Office, 24 E. Winter St., at the concert, and also online at www.centralohiosymphony.org.

In the case of rain, this concert will be moved to OWU’s Branch Rickey Arena.

Following the concert, an estimated 30,000 people are expected downtown to view Delaware’s annual fireworks display. As in past years, fireworks viewing will be available on the Ohio Wesleyan athletic fields and parking lots along Henry Street, between Wilmer Street and Olentangy Avenue.
