Business First is reporting that Columbus State Community College would like to erect at $37 million academic building on its Delaware campus as part of a $441 million facilities upgrade and expansion project.

The master plan for the Delaware campus, which can be viewed here, calls for several buildings to eventually be built. This would be the second academic structure on the 108 acre site.

Columbus State – Delaware offers four full degree programs, and began offering classes in the autumn of 2010.

Funding for the massive construction effort has not been secured, with the possibility that voters may be asked to provide partial funding.
