Nine committees serve a vital link between the Genoa Township Board of Trustees and the Township’s residents, providing input into policy and decision making.

These resident-drive committees are seeking new members.

Not only does the Township benefit from the talents of each participant, but committee members have said that they feel a greater sense of connection with neighbors after becoming involved. Residents from all backgrounds and professions are encouraged to apply for committee appointments; the variety provides a cross section of the community that brings diverse insight and talent.

Advisory Committees include: Audit, Communications, Finance, Fire/Rescue/EMS, Investment, Parks, and Police. Additionally, the Board of Zoning Appeals and the Zoning Commission will have vacancies to be filled. Typically, each of these groups meet once a month on a weekday evening.

Visit www.GenoaTwp.com/ParksGiving and complete a simple online application which includes uploading a resume by January 17, 2020. Trustees will review the applications and new members will be notified in the spring. Those selected for appointment to a committee will begin their terms April 1, 2020.
