Realizing that more residents are outdoors now than in quite some time, the City of Delaware decided to offer a new, primitive walking path to accommodate that demand.

The new path is located on undeveloped City property near the Dog Park on the east side. The actual address is 840 Mill Run Crossing.

The Parks and Natural Resources Division prepared the site with brush mowing, clearing, and trash collection.

The looped, ¾ mile trail has access from the Dog Park parking lot. The trail is undeveloped in places and shoes or boots that can get muddy are strongly advised as wearing apparel.

Guests are asked to stay on the trail, marked with pink ribbons, to avoid trip hazards. Some parts, but not all, are ADA accessible.

Work continues, but residents now have early access.
