Work to repair railroad crossings often results in temporary road closures, and that will be case in early June for some sections of Delaware County.

CSX is undertaking a project to repair and maintain seven such crossings.

Each will be closed for two to three days apiece. The first closure will take place on or about June 1, and work will move from north to south.

Crossings on the following roads are included:

  • Shanahan
  • Berlin Station
  • County Home
  • Leonardsburg
  • Maloney
  • Shoemaker
  • Steamtown

The Delaware County Engineer’s Office asks that drivers observe posted closure dates and follow posted detours at each closed crossing. Please contact Trey Nickles at CSX Transportation 419-453-3166 with any questions.

Maintenance is weather dependent, and each crossing will be closed as needed to complete the necessary work. This is an evolving RR project and our office will seek to post updates as they become available.
