ODOT District Six has released its weekly report highlighting road construction projects which are beginning or underway in the multi-county area it serves. What follows are posted projects taking place within Delaware County.
Please stay safe and pay attention to these closures and work taking place during the week beginning on August 2.
U.S. Route 36
U.S. Route 36 intersection safety – Add left turn lanes on U.S. 36 and restricted crossing U-turn intersections (RCUT) at U.S. 36/ Lackey Old State Rd. and at U.S. 36/North Old State Rd. RCUTs are also known as J-Turns. Estimated completion: July 2022
NEW IMPACTS
North Old State Rd. at U.S. 36 will close starting Monday, August 3 through Thursday, August 13. Detour: 3B’s and K Rd. northbound to Howard Rd. westbound to North Old State Rd. southbound to Baker Rd. westbound to Plunkett Rd. southbound.
CONTINUING IMPACTS
U.S. 36 eastbound and westbound between Lackey Old State Rd. and North Old State Rd. will be restricted to one lane in each direction starting Thursday, July 23 through Sunday, August 23.
State Route 745
CONTINUING IMPACTS
State Route 745 resurfacing project – SR 745 between the Franklin/Delaware County line and U.S. 42 continues to have daily lane restrictions through Saturday, August 8 for pavement repairs.
State Route 257
NEW IMPACTS
State Route 257 resurfacing project – SR 257 between U.S 42 and SR 750 will have daily lane restrictions starting Monday, August 3 through Saturday, August 8.
U.S. Route 23
U.S. Route 23 barrier repair – Repair the retaining wall and bridge deck overlay on the U.S. 23 northbound ramp to E. William St. Estimated completion: October
CONTINUING IMPACTS
The U.S. 23 northbound ramp to E. William St. will continue to be restricted to one lane through October.
U.S. Route 42
CONTINUING IMPACTS
U.S. Route 42 emergency culvert replacement and road repair – U.S. 42 between the city of Delaware and Horseshoe Road is closed due to a sinkhole that developed after recent heavy rains. Estimated completion: Later this month. Detour: SR 37 to U.S. 23 to SR 229 or reverse.
