Boat dock applications for Alum Creek State Park’s online lottery are now being accepted until August. 31. Broadcast live on Facebook, the lottery winners will be chosen on Saturday, September 12 at 9 AM.

Boat owners may submit one application per household; the boat owner must complete the application. Dock size category and mooring balls will be drawn in consecutive order. About 20-30% of the docks will available for an optional five-year contract.

After the winning names are drawn, a list of alternates will also be chosen should docks become available mid-contract. Successful lottery participants will be notified by email and mail by the end of September. Winning names and alternates will be posted on the park office door.

Additional rules pertaining to state park docks include:

  • Dock holders cannot sublease their dock or include the dock lease in boat sales.
  • The dock holder must be the boat owner and primary user of the dock.
  • No other boats or boaters may use the dock.
  • New dock holders must attend a mandatory meeting.
