The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) has provided an update on the US42 sinkhole repair project.

As readers will remember, a large sinkhole appeared after substantial rain which gave rise to the route’s immediate closure. Our post with more information can be accessed here:

By: 1808Delaware Staff The deluge of water that the area experienced recently is continuing to make its impact known. Earlier this week, the District Six office of the Ohio Department of Transportation shared news via Facebook and on OHGO.com, the state’s real-time traffic advisory system, tha

ODOT has now provided updated project information.

Route 42 will remain closed until the end of October. Project design has now concluded, and construction is expected to take six weeks depending on the weather.

The detour remains State Route 37 to US 23 to SR 229, or the reverse.
