On Thursday and Friday, updated numbers were shared which profiled Delaware County’s current COVID case levels.

The Delaware General Health District posted its weekly Friday report highlighting various statistics related to the local impact of the pandemic. That information can be found here:


On Thursday, the State of Ohio reported on current levels in Delaware County Schools.

Among those schools, 28 studeents and staff were newly reported with COVID-19 cases. Below are district/schools that reported those cases (note that this does not include cumulative cases):

  • Big Walnut — 3 students, 3 staff
  • Buckeye Valley — 2 students
  • Delaware Area Career Center –5 students
  • Olentangy — 18 students

According to the Department of Health, “A report of COVID-19 should not be interpreted as an indicator that a school district or school isn’t following proper procedures—school cases can be a reflection of the overall situation in the broader community. Families and staff should always feel free to ask questions of the school district or school.”
