Next week, the curtain will open on the next chapter of Columbus’ well-known Italian market and restaurant, Carfagna’s.

That new chapter is being written right here in Delaware County.

On Sunday, September 7, the curtain opens on the new Carfagna’s Famous Market & Ristorante will include a deli, liquor shop, expanded tasting venues, bakery, and restaurant with additional seating capacity.

Located at 1440 Gemini Place, it will take up approximately 27,000 square feet in a space formerly occupied by the Earth Fare Maret, Hobby Lobby, and the Polaris Costco.

According to the company website, the business began in 1937 by immigrant founder Saturnino Carfagna. First located in the Linden Area of Columbus, today grandsons Dino and Sam carry on the family tradition.
