Yelp released its “Top 100 US Restaurants 2026” list this week, highlighting the best places to dine across the country in the year ahead. The rankings come from a mix of real diner nominations, star ratings, volume of reviews, and review quality, with an extra requirement that each restaurant had a passing health score as of November 6, 2025.

Only two restaurants from Ohio made the cut. One of them is right in our coverage area, giving local food lovers something to be proud of heading into 2026. See the full list here.

Kitchen Social Shows Its Strength

The Polaris-area restaurant on Lyra Drive in Columbus earned its spot at No. 92 on Yelp’s list. It’s the kind of place people return to again and again, and the numbers back that up.

On Yelp the restaurant carries a 4.7-star rating with more than 1,000 reviews. That level of consistently strong feedback from diners across hundreds of reviews is part of what pushed it onto the national list.

What Diners Love

Kitchen Social describes itself as a lively, chef-driven eatery focused on scratch-made American fare with a modern twist. What that means on the plate is familiar comfort food executed with care and creativity.

Menu highlights include:

  • Cheddar and scallion biscuits
  • Whipped feta with accompaniments
  • The double-stack burger
  • A range of well-crafted pizzas

It also boasts a strong bar program that complements the food and fits the upbeat vibe of the space.

A Brand With Momentum

The Lyra Drive location serves as the flagship for Kitchen Social’s growing footprint in Ohio, with five other locations around the state. The brand is expanding, with plans for a location in Florida already in motion.

That combination of local roots, regional reach, and now national recognition on Yelp’s Top 100 list sets Kitchen Social up as one of the restaurants to watch in 2026.

Behind the Yelp Rankings

Yelp’s methodology for the Top 100 list isn’t just about raw ratings. According to the platform:

  • Diners submit and nominate favorite restaurants
  • Star ratings are evaluated alongside review volume
  • Yelp’s data science and community teams help curate the list to ensure a balance of geography and cuisine types

That mix of crowdsourced enthusiasm and data-driven selection helps explain why places like Kitchen Social can gain wider attention while still being rooted in local reputation and experience.
