Delaware County’s newest restaurant opens this coming week in Powell.

A new Dairy Queen “Grill & Chill” will be holding its grand opening celebration on Wednesday, February 12 — just in time for Valentine’s Day. The location, at 8920 Moreland Street, is right off of the corner of Sawmill Parkway and Seldom Seen Road.

When open, the restaurant will be open from 10 AM to 10 PM, seven days a week.

The first Dairy Queen restaurant was located in Joliet, Illinois and opened for business on June 22, 1940 Dairy Queen now has more than 6,400 stores in 27 countries, including more than 1,400 locations outside the United States and Canada

DQ Grill & Chill locations feature hot food, treats, table delivery, and self-serve soft drinks. It represents the new concept for new and renovated full-service restaurants.
