One of Delaware County’s craft beer businesses has closed its doors.

In its Polaris Fashion Place Food Court location for a bit over two years, the Daily Growler has moved from temporary to permanent closure.

Near the end of last year, the location’s Facebook Page shared the news, “We’re currently closed for the year and will be taking some time to regroup.” That process led to the decision to close.

Like many other businesses, particularly those in food and drink service, the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic has been extensive, with the configuration of some spaces meshing well with health guidelines, and others posing unique challenges.

The Daily Growler launched in 2012 in Upper Arlington, featuring the best and freshest craft beers available, with a focus on regional varieties.

Over the years, the chain expanded with locations in Upper Arlington, Powell, and German village.

The other Delaware County location at 258 West Olentangy in Powell is not included in the Polaris closure.
