The Columbus Dispatch has announced that Delaware County is finally getting a Dunkin’ Donuts location.

Just barely, that is.

The location, according to the Dispatch article, is the Windsor Bay Retail Center at the corner of County Line and Sunbury Roads near Hoover Reservoir, which is just inside the Delaware County line. Other stores in the Center include Westerville ACE Hardware and Next Level Fitness.

The new Dunkin’ is one of two opening this fall in Westerville, the other being constructed on South State Street.

The chain is rapidly expanding, adding over 200 units in 2019. Last year, in the middle of the pandemic, a new stand-alone Dunkin’ opened across the street from Kroger on the west side of Mount Gilead.

The first Dunkin’ Donuts opened in 1950 in Quincy, Massachusetts. Today, there are over 11,300 restaurants in 36 countries around the world. Collectively, they sell over 3.3 billion donuts and “Munchkin” donut holes each year.
