Fogo de Chão, the world-renowned Brazilian steakhouse chain, is set to open its first location in Delaware County in the coming days. The new restaurant will be located at 1425 Polaris Parkway in the bustling Polaris Towne Center.

A Taste of Brazil Comes to Polaris

The location will occupy a spacious 7,245 square feet, offering ample room for diners to enjoy Fogo de Chão’s signature all-you-can-eat dining experience. Known for its authentic Brazilian churrasco, the restaurant chain specializes in fire-roasted meats, served directly to guests by gaucho chefs—waiters dressed in traditional attire. This dining method, rooted in the culinary traditions of Southern Brazil’s Serra Gaúcha region, is a unique feature that sets Fogo de Chão apart from other steakhouses.

Innovative Design and Dining Experience

The restaurant’s design, a collaboration with the global design agency Harrison, will feature a large dining room and an open churrasco grill. This layout will allow guests a 360-degree view of the gaucho chefs as they expertly prepare meats over an open flame. The immersive dining experience is enhanced by a vibrant atmosphere that reflects the rich culture and traditions of Brazil.

In addition to its famous fire-roasted meats, the new location will also offer a variety of seasonal salads, fresh superfoods, cured meats, and antipasti. The expansive salad bar will feature a range of options, including traditional Brazilian side dishes like farofa and pão de queijo (cheese bread), providing a well-rounded culinary experience.

Fogo de Chão: A Global Culinary Phenomenon

Founded in 1979 in Porto Alegre, Brazil, Fogo de Chão quickly became a culinary staple, known for its upscale dining and authentic Brazilian barbecue. The restaurant’s first U.S. location opened in Dallas, Texas, in 1997, marking the beginning of its international expansion. Today, Fogo de Chão operates over 60 locations worldwide, including in the United States, Brazil, Mexico, and the Middle East, with plans for continued growth.

The chain’s success is built on its commitment to cultural authenticity and high-quality dining. Each location strives to offer a true taste of Brazil, from the selection of meats to the warm hospitality of the gaucho chefs. This dedication has made Fogo de Chão a favorite for special occasions and group gatherings, where guests can enjoy the flavors and traditions of Southern Brazil in a casual yet elegant setting.

Looking Forward to the Local Opening

The new location is expected to draw food enthusiasts from across the region, eager to experience the unique dining that Fogo de Chão offers. With its prime location at Polaris Towne Center, the restaurant is poised to become a popular destination for both locals and visitors alike.

For those unfamiliar with the concept, the restaurant’s all-you-can-eat model allows diners to sample a variety of meats, including beef, lamb, pork, and chicken, all cooked to perfection over an open flame. The extensive salad bar and traditional Brazilian side dishes complement the meal, ensuring that every guest leaves satisfied.
