As we shared back in late March, a popular downtown Delaware restaurant was set to close its doors.

Speck Italian Eatery had announced an upcoming move from its 15 East Winter Street location to a place in downtown Columbus. At the same time, owner and chef Josh Dalton had suggested that the Delaware venue would not remain empty for long.

That prediction has held true now that a new eatery has reportedly announced that it will fill that spot – Cove, A Seafood Joint.

According to this article in 614now.com, the new restaurant, opening July 12, has a goal to highlight noteworthy seafood dishes from different cuisines and regions.

The Cove website, which is live but not yet populated with a menu, can be found here.

If you find yourself hungry in downtown Columbus, the new Speck menu can be found on this site.
