Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center has opened its latest Express Care location at Outpatient Care Westerville, bringing accessible healthcare to Delaware County residents. The Westerville location is one of six Express Care facilities designed to provide cost-effective, timely treatment for non-emergency conditions.

Comprehensive Care for All Ages

The new Westerville location is equipped to treat patients aged six months and older. This facility offers a wide range of services, focusing on common illnesses and minor injuries. Conditions treated include:

  • Cold, flu, strep, and COVID-19 symptoms such as cough, sore throat, fever, and headaches
  • Eye, ear, throat, sinus, and respiratory infections
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Minor burns, bruises, and cuts (not requiring stitches)
  • Insect bites and rashes
  • Painful urination and suspected urinary tract infections (UTIs)

In addition to treatment, the center provides lab tests for strep, flu, pregnancy, and COVID-19, as well as school, sports, and camp physicals. Immunizations and COVID-19 vaccines/boosters are also available for patients aged six months and older by appointment.

Why Choose Express Care?

Express Care locations prioritize convenience and affordability. Staffed by skilled nurse practitioners, these facilities are typically more cost-effective than freestanding urgent care centers. Self-pay visits start at $150, while physicals are just $39. Most major insurances are accepted.

However, Express Care is not suitable for certain cases, including:

  • Suspected broken bones requiring X-rays
  • Serious cuts needing stitches
  • Life-threatening symptoms
  • Behavioral issues or prenatal problems
  • Infants younger than six months

For these conditions, patients will be referred to appropriate providers or facilities.

Easy Access with Appointments Required

Appointments are mandatory for all visits, ensuring prompt and efficient care. This structured approach helps minimize wait times, giving patients quick access to treatment.

The Westerville location is conveniently situated at:
465 N. Cleveland Ave., Suite 210, Westerville. Parking is available for all visitors.

Expanding Healthcare Options in Delaware County

Ohio State’s commitment to making healthcare more accessible continues with the addition of this Express Care location. Whether you’re seeking relief from seasonal allergies or need a physical for school, the Westerville facility offers quality care with flexibility and affordability.
