When we last left the proposed sports and entertainment complex with the original name of Planet Oasis, the original team had split, both had vowed to continue with the project, one party had initiated a naming contest for the development, and the matter had ended up in the Delaware County Court of Common Pleas.

It’s time for another chapter in that story.[widgets_on_pages id=1]

On Friday, the Columbus Dispatch and Columbus Underground both reported on Blue Horseshoe Ventures and Tony Sekulovski’s announcement of the results of that naming contest and a timeline for construction to begin.

The new name, according to both reports? Arcadia Sports and Entertainment, or Arcadia for short. The suggestion came from an area college student, it was stated.

Reports are that construction will begin in the summer of 2019.
