The wait is over for lovers of the iconic Swensons Drive-In. Delaware County’s first-ever location will be opening next week adjacent to Ikea and Topgolf.

In an announcement on Twitter, the chain shared news that the 2012 Ikea Way Swensons will be opening on Monday, February 4.

Wesley “Pop” Swenson began his first hambuger restaurant in 1934 after starting out selling from the back of his station wagon. From its Akron roots, the Polaris restaurant will be the twelfth in the chain.

Swensons signature product is the “Galley Boy,” a double cheesburger, and each location also offers up to 18 different milk shake flavors. Other offerings include soup, sandwiches (even fried bologna!), and salads.

The local menu can be found here.
