The Royce, a popular eatery at 8791 Lyra Drive, has closed its doors according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page.

Its website contains the following statement:

“Thank you! We have closed our doors. We are closing our doors at the Polaris Fashion Place Mall. Thank you for sharing your occasions with us!! From our family to yours, we wish you well, and we will see you again!”

The news came with an asterisk but also occasioned some challenging words from disgruntled employees. The Facebook post itself states that another location is in the works. The comments, however, from people stating they are former employees were challenging about a lack of layoff notice.

Other comments clearly expressed disappointment and great admiration for what the owners had created in the three years that The Royce was in operation.

The restaurant was posting photos on Instagram as recently as June 8.
