Polaris is getting two new arrivals that couldn’t be more different.

One is a vegetarian restaurant rooted in South Indian cooking. The other is a sleek, celebrity-backed activewear brand with a subscription twist. Both are aiming to open around the 2026 holiday season, and together they bring some interesting new options for food and shopping.

Simply South to Open at Polaris Lifestyle Center

Simply South, an all-vegetarian South Indian restaurant brand, is expanding to the Columbus market with a new location at Polaris. The restaurant is under construction in the outdoor Lifestyle Center area, adjacent to Benihana. A grand opening is planned for the 2026 holiday season.

Simply South focuses on regional South Indian cuisine, offering dishes such as dosas, idlis, rice-based meals, and a variety of traditional accompaniments prepared with fresh ingredients and spices. The menu is entirely vegetarian.

The brand has received national recognition and continues to expand into new markets. For more information on the company, visit their website.

Fabletics: Retail Meets Subscription Economics

Fabletics will open a new retail location inside Polaris Fashion Place. The store will be located on the lower level near Akira and is also targeting a holiday 2026 opening.

Fabletics is an activewear brand co-founded by Kate Hudson. The company offers men’s and women’s athletic and athleisure apparel, including leggings, tops, shorts, and related accessories. The brand operates through both e-commerce and physical retail locations.

Fabletics uses a membership-based model known as VIP.

Members are typically charged a monthly fee, which is converted into store credit that can be applied toward purchases. Customers have the option to skip the monthly charge within a set window each month. Membership also provides access to discounted pricing and exclusive product releases.
