A former intern at Delaware County Emergency Management who has been serving in a similar role in Tuscarawas County since 2017 is coming back to Delaware County.
Alex McCarthy has been chosen as the new Director of Delaware County Emergency Management and has accepted the position, according to a Facebook post. McCarthy has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Atmospheric Science and a graduate interdisciplinary minor in Public Sector Policy and Management.
Alex will be joining the local agency on March 27.
Delaware County Emergency Management is responsible for coordinating emergency preparedness, response, and recovery efforts in Delaware County, Ohio. Some of the specific responsibilities of Delaware County Emergency Management include:
