The City of Delaware is continuing to use polling software to give citizens the opportunity to responds to questions on city matters.

As presented on its website, the City describes it this way:

“The City of Delaware is seeking public input on ideas and issues facing city government using Polco, an interactive web-based polling platform. Polco allows government officials to post questions directly to citizens and receive insightful, reliable data to drive local policy decisions.”

The most recent poll questions posed by the City can be found here. They deal with health and wellness, walkability, employment opportunities, and the community’s “openness and acceptance toward people of diverse backgrounds.”

Also included in the current edition is the 2019 Community Survey. The deadline to complete is December 14.

By clicking on the “Results” link above the questions, you can find the responses to previously asked questions using the same medium. Past questions have dealt with a wide variety of matters, including city communication with its citizens; police and fire departments; rating the city as compared to others for raising children; and many others.
