The City of Delaware has announced a handful of reminders for citizens that pertain to the holiday period. Those include:
Office Hours: City of Delaware offices close at noon Thursday, December 23 and remain closed Friday, December 24. Refuse will be operated on an accelerated schedule for both of these days.
Additional Refuse Bags Dec. 27-Dec. 31: For December 27-31, additional non-tagged bags of holiday refuse placed outside of the tipcarts will be collected at curbside.
New Year’s Hours and Collections: City offices are closed Friday, December 31. Refuse will operate on an accelerated schedule that day.
Tree Collection: The annual Christmas tree and holiday greens collection period is Monday, January 3 through Friday, January 28. Any remaining yard waste will be picked up at this time, as well. Do not place trees in plastic bags at curbside.
